By Jose Garces

Cuba is the largest and most beautiful island in the Antilles. This amazing country offers a mix of culture, history, architecture, music and geography that captivates whoever visit it. There are plenty of tour operators offering Cuba holidays. All you need to do is find the one that offers what you are looking for.

Looking for beach holidays? Then seek no further. Cuba has a variety of beach locations that are among the top in the list of the best beaches in the World. Varadero, Cayo Largo, Cayo Coco and Guardalavaca are just some of the best beaches in Cuba with excellent accommodation facilities.

If you are looking for a scuba diving holiday in Cuba, or a sailing holiday in Cuba, we recommend you call a specialist tour operator, who is on hand seven days a week to help you find your ideal water sports holiday in Cuba.

For history buffs, the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Trinidad on the south coast, and the old town of Havana are must see places. At Guama there is an Amerindian village, which has been carefully reconstructed, with wooden bridges linking several islets. Visitors eating outside their hotels should be aware that outside Havana, restaurant menus may be more limited than on many other Caribbean islands, and will be dominated by locally available produce. In contrast, you'll find no shortage of exotic rum cocktails.

Shopping is Cuba is not great but there is a number of local craft markets on each of the main destinations throughout the island. Coffee, rum and Cigars are the main souvenirs travellers take home when they visit Cuba. Prices are very cheap except for the Cuban cigars which could cost up to 400.00 CUC a box.

Package holidays to Cuba are offered by many tour operators but if you are looking for something more exclusive, lets say bird watching, horse back riding, escorted tours, history or architecture packages then you have to speak to a specialist. You could also stay with Cuban families if you want to get to know Cuban people. This by far is the cheapest form of travel. Most family homes will cost half the price of hotels.

If you are unable to find the holiday in Cuba that you are looking for, or would like more information about staying in Cuba, or flying to Cuba, please call to speak to our dedicated travel team, who are on hand seven days a week to help you find your perfect stay in Cuba. - 31819

Cheap Holidays in Cuba

By Jose Garces

Probably you have been searching for some cheap Cuba holidays options already and you have not been very lucky. I intend to give you some tips on how to safe money before you book you package holidays to Cuba.

One element that increases the cost of a holiday package is definitely the transportation. When you want to visit few locations cause you want to get to know the real Cuba. Most travel agents out there will use taxi transfers in their quotes and when you hear the price then you start thinking maybe is best if I stick to 1 or 2 places to make it cheap.

My advice in this regard if you want to safe hundreds is to use VIAZUL Bus Company. Viazul has terminal in most of the Cuban provinces and the tickets are really cheap compared to taxi drives.

So that you have an idea of how much money you can safe let's take for instance a taxi transfer from Havana to Trinidad. This journey takes about 5 hours and it will cost you around 250 CUC if you travel by taxi. Instead with viazul a ticket will cost you just 25 CUC.

Just imagine how much money you could be safe if you were to visit places like Havana, Vi?ales Valley, Cienfuegos, Santa Clara or Trinidad. Very easily the amount of money safe could be around 800 CUC if instead of taking taxis you use VIAZUL terminals.

Viazul buses are quite new and comfortable. They have large coaches with 40 seats, WC, air con, television and catering services.

Maybe you are one of those thinking of travelling around Cuba but don't have a clue about distances and how large Cuba really is. When you look at the Mapa Mundi this island looks small compared to America but it actually stretches for more than 1200 Km from east to west.

Just one point I want to make clear though which is the fact that VIAZUL alternative will never be as comfortable as the taxi option but hey! We are looking at cheap options here not VIP service. - 31819

Cuba A Sparkling Adventure

By Jose Mauricio Maurette

Cuba's beaches are unique for the rich tones of their clear warm water. The island's coasts include everything from challenging cliffs to peaceful coves, the setting for incredible sun and sea Cuba holidays.

The insular shelf is bounded by an extensive coral reef where a great variety of colorful fish bewitch scuba-diving buffs, both beginners and experts. In addition, there are underwater caves to explore. Casting loose your mooring lines in Cuban waters means setting sail into a spectacular sea adventure.

The Cuban archipelago, which is 42,854 square miles (110,992 square kilometers) in size, consists of the main island of Cuba-a long and narrow island measuring 744 miles (1200 kilometers) from east to west, the largest island in the Antilles-the Isle of Youth and around 4195 other cays and islets.

It has over 3560 miles (5746 kilometers) of irregular coastline, including more than 200 bays and over 300 beaches whose sand is of different colors and textures. It is common knowledge that the Cuban sea is of excellent quality.

Not disappointed thousands of tourists who make dives here every year, some of them as beginners making their maiden dives in Cuban waters, accompanied by experienced divers whose expertise is attested to by the World Underwater Federation (CMAS), the American-Canadian Underwater Certification (ACUC) for scuba-diving classes and other prestigious international schools.

In 1985, the French oceanologist Jacques-Yves Cousteau's crew was very impressed by Cuba's seabed-most of all, by their exploration of the Cristobal Colon, a Spanish ship which was sunk during the naval battle that was fought just off Santiago de Cuba in i8g8. According to the divers, who have worked all over the world, few other places are as well preserved or have such a wealth of marine life. His colleagues waxed so enthusiastic that Cousteau, then 75, decided to put on an aqualung and see for himself. He wasn't disappointed.

Scientific studies estimate that there are over 500 species of fish; 200 different kinds of sponges (cup, tube and branch); around 60 kinds of coral; and a large sample of mollusks, crustaceans, gorgonians, algae and Common Sea Fans (Gorgonia spp.) in Cuban waters.

Cuba undoubtedly is one of the most stunning tourist destinations in the World. Add the irrefutable fact of a super rich culture and you have the ideal recipe for a memorable holiday. - 31819

Two Centre Holiday To Cuba.

By Jose Garces

If you have come to read this write up I am assuming that you are interested in organizing your next trip to Cuba. Well that makes me very happy. What I intend to do in this article is to guide you through the best possible combinations of centres in order to make the most out of your experience in Cuba.

You probably know this already but it is never less important to highlight that Cuba is the largest of the Caribbean islands and have a wealth of options in terms of places that you can enjoy while visiting Cuba. There are places to please almost every demand in terms of tourist attractions.

If you are looking to mainly relax after a hard long period of work and at the same time let your self been invaded by the Cuban culture then I would suggest you do a twin centre holiday. There are many options and I will mention in this article which in my opinion are the most interesting ones.

Havana and Varadero: Ideal formula for people who are not willing to travel long ours along the road. Both cities are only few miles away from each other and they can be connected in less than 2 hours by taxi. Havana is recommended for at least 2 or 3 nights so that you can get to see and enjoy what this amazing city has to offer. Varadero is considered by many one of the best beach destinations in the world. It certainly is the most famous in Cuba and it offers a wealth of activities such as swimming with dolphins, rides in a submarine, horse back riding and all sorts of water sports.

Havana and Cayo Santa Maria: If you are looking to combine culture, history and a very relaxing beach destination then you have to go for this one. Cayo Santa Maria is one of the newest developments, therefore its hotels and there are only 3 in this island they are all in excellent shape. The standard of service is very high, I particularly recommend Sol Melia Cayo Santa Maria Hotel. It is a 5 star hotels and it also has the best SPA installation and service that I have seen in Cuba.

Havana and Jibacoa: This twin centre holiday is ideal for those who like to relax far from that comes with some huge beach resorts. It is very close to Havana. So if you feel you did not have enough of the Capital and its night life or its restaurants you can very easily take a taxi from Breezes Jibacoa Hotel and you will be in Havana in less than 1 hour. Not very expensive a taxi will cost about 30 Cuban convertible pesos (15 Sterling pounds).

These are just some of the combinations you can do but the fact is that you can do dozens of them. Or you can put together as many locations as you want. We will obviously help you out deciding what is best for you and what is feasible taking into account the duration of your holidays. If you need to know more please do not hesitate to contact us. - 31819

Santiago De Cuba: One Of The Top Holiday Destinations In The World.

By Jose Maurette Garces

In a recent publication Santiago de Cuba famous for its music and endless revolutions has been chosen as one of the best destination in the world and a top city location for Cuba holidays in the year 2010

Rated within the top 10 destinations in the world by the prestigious Frommers Publications, Santiago de Cuba is the best place to see what is like to live in Cuba in modern days.

"Santiago is a culturally rich and scenic city that retains the intimate, friendly feel of a provincial capital, with peaceful neighborhoods where men play dominoes outdoors on hilly streets," the website said.

Rough Guides: a leading publisher of travel and reference information, respected for their accurate, up-to-date content pointed out that the next 12 months are critical in the development of the tourist industry in Cuba and suggested a great deal of change.

Not long from now is the day in which Cuba sees a huge flock of American tourists arriving to Havana as suggested by Reuters and with it the necessary changes in what today is one of the least spoilt holiday destinations in the world.

Not only Santiago is famous for its heroic battles but also for been the birth place of personalities such Don Facundo Bacardi in 1986 who set out to established the world famous Bacardi brand.

Santiago has an International Airport however if traveling from Europe holidaymakers will have to use the nearest Airport in Holguin City about 3 hours drive from Santiago. Another alternative is to fly to Havana and after a short stay a 2 hour domestic flight to the eastern city.

There is no better time in the year to visit Santiago than when the Carnivals are taking place. The week comprising the 26 of July for over 100 years have seen the streets of Santiago filled with joyful locals enjoying the best of the Cuban music and of course the best of the Cuban Rums. - 31819

Do You Spend More Cash And Time On the Plane For No Reason

By Jim Bonetti

I always wondered why people in the UK would desire to go to locations like the Dominican Republic for a summertime holiday. I have nothing against the Dominican Republic or any of the Caribbean destinations. Can they provide anything more than you can get at one of the numerous popular holiday destinations in Europe.

Why would you consider sitting on a plane for around twice as long as you possibly need. This is made even worse if you have young children who are not going to treasure being stuck in a seat on an aircraft for this length of time.

For most holidaymakers a journey to the Caribbean involves one of the all inclusive offers as the cost of food on beverage on some of the Caribbean destinations can be very costly. They spend all their vacation time in the holiday complex, which is in all chance located next to the beach. The accommodation offers entertainment in the evenings and you have all your beverages included with your all inclusive deal.

You could be anywhere on the planet so why give extra to go all the way to the Caribbean. You could be in Spain in approximately two hours and holiday in an all inclusive compound if you want. This way you can spend more money on the standard of accommodation or spend less and get the same standard as in the Caribbean.

A suntan is a suntan and anybody looking at you when you get back from your holiday is not going to be able to tell where you developed your suntan. So if all you are worried about is in is lying by the swimming pool to get a tan why journey further than you need. All you are doing is spending extra money on a long haul trip, which could be either kept or spent on acquiring a better hotel or for more spending money.

Prior to reserving a vacation, think about what you really want and then have a search at the optimal options for your needs. It is your vacation so it is important to make sure you get the best one you can. - 31819

Thousands of travellers go the beach every year. When it is extremely hot, the reflection from the white sand crystals cools down the air. The white sands at Cayo Largo are a marvel. Explore the beach with your children, friends or loved one. If you have seen much of the island, you can go to the fishing area. The Hidden Caves of Cuba

By J. M. Maurette

Viales Valley is one of the most recognized and demanded area among holiday makers in Cuba. It is the combination of so many things what makes this territory so attractive. It is known for growing the best tobacco in the world. Its residents are among the friendliest and welcoming people I have ever come across in Cuba. The best of all is its natural beauty, its mountains, valleys, rivers, rain forests and cave formations.

There are many attractions in Viales Valley but today I would like to write about La Cueva del Indio. This is a immense cave, located under sea level, is visited in two stages: the first part of the visit is done by foot along its narrow passages and halls and the second part is by boat, a ride that will take you to the other end of the cave.

The silhouettes of its stalactites and stalagmites surprise the onlooker. Just at the entry of the cavern you will be able to see some of our endemic species like The Polymita Picta (a small snail with a multicolored pattern on its shell).

In the boat, a guide takes you to see the cave and at the same time he shows you the rock formations that exist in the cave and which have names due to the shapes they have. You may find a head of snake in the rock and you may wonder about nature.

The waterway inside the cavern is accessible for the ride for about 500 meters. Even though the river is a lot longer, for your own protection is not navigable along its total path. The entire grotto has not being entirely explored since there are some parts that are completely sank under water.

The mass of water is amazing but you got even more amazed when the trip finishes: with all the water that you have seen inside, it is crazy to see that everything ends in a waterfall as high as a half a meter! For a moment you think that you and the boat will crash, but it is an experience worth living. After the fright, you will want to enjoy the trip again, this time knowing all what will happen.

While in Viales having fun in your holidays, you must come here and enjoy this trip. This cave will have you breathless for sure. This is one of the many treasures that Cuba holds for you. Do not miss this chance. - 31819

Cuba Tours - Truly Alternative Holidays

By Jose Mauricio Maurette

Cuba tours are exciting and interesting alternatives to more mundane destinations. If you have a sense of adventure, if you like romantic destinations more than glitzy high-rises, you will simply love a visit to Cuba.

During the miserable winters of the Northern hemisphere, Cuba is the ideal place to break away for a couple of weeks of sunshine. What you will find in Cuba is not only warm weather but warm and friendly people with a passion for music and culture.

Most tours start in the crumbling, atmospheric old capital of Havana. With it's many old cars dating back to the l950's and'60's and its gently decaying colonial buildings Havana has been the backdrop of many romantic movies.

Numerous lively night-time music venues further add to the charm that is Havana. Spending a few hours at the renowned sea wall (malecon) just enjoying the gentle salty breezes is an experience you will remember for a long time.

Cuba is much more than Havana though. There are also the beaches, seafood and lush mountain scenery of Baracoa in the south, that so impressed Christopher Columbus that he wrote it was the the "most beautiful land that human eyes could set upon".

Santiago de Cuba is the country's 2nd largest city. It is often credited to be the birthplace of the revolution - and this place with it's pulsating samba music, beautiful colonial churches and many museums indeed has a lingering sense of conspiracy in the air...

Camaguey is Cuba's third largest city. It is a confusing maze of narrow alleys - not two of which run parallel. This is not by chance - it was designed this way in the 17th century to confuse attackers. It is a city of parks, art galleries and a bustling market garden.

Nobody should leave Cuba without bringing a visit to Trinidad. It is considered by many to be the loveliest of all colonial cities in Cuba. Once again you will find sufficient night life to make sure you never get any sleep and during the days you can sleep off the effects of the previous night on one of the many white beaches nearby.

Many tour operators nowadays offer specialized Cuba tours. Some tours concentrate on visiting historical areas, others more on showcasing the culture of the country and still others on exploring the natural beauty of this magnificent land. - 31819

The Best Way To Know Cuba

By Mauricio Maurette

In a country so large and with so much to offer the best way to get to know it is by doing a tour around the island. In few days you will learn almost everything you need to know about its culture, architecture, religion and way of life in general.

Many options are available if you are looking to do a tour of Cuba. If you like architecture there are specialized tours on this theme or if you want a bit of everything it is very easy to find some of the tours around Cuba that have been already designed for this purpose. In any case a tour can be designed to suit your particular demands.

Some of this escorted tours last from 7 to 10 days it is bit hectic and definitely a learning experience. After this you can always combine 3 or more nights on a nice and relaxing beach location in Cuba. There are some tours that have been offered for years now among which The pearl of the Caribbean, The Cradle of the Revolution and the Tour of the West are the most popular ones.

Tour guides in Cuba are probably the most connoisseurs of this amazing Caribbean island. They are requested to be graduated form University and have to go to special courses to be trained to be professional tour guides. For not to mention that so far in Cuba only tour guides are allowed to stay in hotels and travel the island with tourist. So definitely are the tour guides who know more about Cuba.

To use an example let us look at the Peal of the Caribbean Tour. This tour is focus on the western part of Cuba and visits 4 of the most interesting cities in Cuba, Trinidad, Cienfuegos, Havana and Pinar del Rio. It is a culture oriented tour and it last 6 nights with 7 days.

To look at another example lets take the Cradle of the Revolution. This tour is concentrated in the east part of the island. It is mainly devoted to the history of the Cuban revolution led by Castro. It last 4 nights and is perfect for those interested in the subject and looking to do some relaxing in a beach at the end of the tour in the beautiful Guardalavaca area.

I personally recommend these tours when you do not have much time allocated to your holidays and want to make the most of it without having to spend thousands. An escorted tour is definitely the most economic way to get to know Cuba. Tours can cost from 500.00 to 1000.00 pounds depending on duration, theme and whether it is private or collective. - 31819

Jobs That Require Travel-Do You Want One?

By Dino Williams

A job that requires traveling seems like a dream come true for many people, but sometimes, you may not be the right person for such positions. Even if the main part about such trips is business, you still get some time to sight-see and explore a little bit the spirit of the place.

Sales positions represent the most frequent jobs that require travel making since they are territory-based and require visits of potential clients and inspections at offices in other parts of the country or even abroad. A practice put into practice by many companies these days is to employ regional sales people from a certain area for the very purpose of addressing the business necessities of the clients in the neighboring cities.

Individuals with jobs that require travel making to not very distant locations are usually given a company car, plus, the same payment policy is applied to all the expenses for the trips as well as to the eventual lodging if the trip involves spending the night.

Other jobs that require travel availability include regional management positions: thus, the managers of restaurant and retail chains have to travel from one state to another and address the local business issues. The reporting scheme follows a crescent line with the store or restaurant manager filing reports to the regional manager who in his/her turn informs the superior executives.

Some jobs that require travel availability go beyond state borders, such assignments commonly extend to the national or even the international scale. Trainers and recruiters, software installers, public speakers, journalists and reporters as well as other professional groups need to target diverse customer categories that are not defined by regional boundaries.

Prior to applying for jobs that require travel, you should think well and self-evaluate your situation: are you suitable for such a position?

For some, life on the road did not rise up to the expectations, as they did not have all the pieces of the puzzle to understand the form of employment they were adhering to.

In other cases, traveling for business purposes turn out to be a very refreshing experience even if business reality as such cannot be described in glamorous terms. Informative materials, training courses and all sorts of professional assessment guides could help one figure out if traveling and business are the thing they are looking for. Good luck! - 31819
